Deleted after delivery
Your scans and our files are deleted [30] days after you accept the sheets, or sooner if you ask. Unless you opt out, we keep a private copy to improve our own software; it's never shared.
Before you send a set.
What happens if part of the scan is unreadable?
We never guess. Anything we can't read with confidence, such as a faded dimension or a smudged device tag, is listed in a short note with the sheet, so you can confirm it or send what's missing.
Can I edit every piece of text?
Yes. Room names, notes, device tags and labels come in as real text in a standard CAD font, not as lines or images. Double-click any of them in AutoCAD to change it.
Will you change our design?
No. We redraw what is on the sheet. We don't move devices, fix code issues or add dimensions that aren't there. If something looks wrong, we note it for you.
Which CAD programs open the files?
The DWG opens in AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, BricsCAD and free viewers such as DWG TrueView. We also send a DXF for other programs. Tell us if you need an older DWG version.
Can you match our layer standard and title block?
Yes. Send your layer list or a sample DWG and we'll match names, colors and linetypes. We can remove the title block, keep it, or redraw it.
What's in the free CAD sample?
One whole page of your drawings as DWG and PDF, on standard layers with editable text and device blocks, marked SAMPLE. It's the automatic AI first pass and is not checked by a drafter. Paid orders are checked line by line before delivery. One free sample per company every 30 days; the other pages are converted when you order.
Do you use my drawings to improve your software?
Only our own conversion software, internally, and only if you don't opt out. Your drawings are never shared, published, sold, or sent to outside AI or labelling services.
To opt out, email hello@redrawncad.com, before or after you order. Then your drawings are used only to deliver your order. Details in our Terms.
Are revisions included?
Corrections are free for [14] days after delivery. A correction is anything where the CAD doesn't match your scan or the instructions you gave with the order. Send all the markups for a sheet together in one PDF, show where the CAD differs from the scan, and we send back a new numbered version.
Changes are quoted first. A change is anything new: a different layer standard, moved or added devices, a new title block, or details that aren't readable on the scan. We price it before we do it.
After [14] days without markups, the sheet counts as accepted.
